When will by piece arrive? I am a fast Shipper and use International Shipping couriers for larger works. It usually takes me 2 days to prepare your order and your package should arrive within 5 to 8 business days.

Who is Jizo?

Jizo is a Japanese Buddhist Saint. He is perhaps one of the most popular, Iconic and ubiquitous of all figures in Japan. He is found all over cities, in back alley’s, through the countryside, on the roadside, and in the middle of the forest. He is usually portrayed as a monk, with a shaved head, and a serene and peaceful smile. Often he has a hand-knitted hat and handmade bib.

His popularity is due to the forms of protection which he offers. He is the Protector of the weak and vulnerable; Children, Babies, Pregnant mothers, as well, Firemen, Pilgrims and Travellers. he often carries a staff, as it is part of his duty to awaken us from the dream-like world of illusion. He is found at boundaries between places both physical and spiritual, between here and there, life and death.

How should I use these pieces?  I envision these pieces as being used around your home. They can be used as a display or diarama. They can be used in a terrarium, aquarium or planter. they can be used as a desk buddy or bedside table friend.

Is Raku Food Safe? Generally I do not include many functional works in this shop. However to be clear, any pieces made with Raku are NOT FOODSAFE. As Raku is a low fire technique, the glaze is still porous and this means that chemicals from the glazes could leach out. So to be safe I would not use Raku pieces with food or drink.
